Appeals and Complaints
Editorial appeals
Authors may appeal an editorial decision by contacting info@johe.pk and providing the manuscript identifier, decision date and a reasoned explanation supported by evidence. Explain any material factual error, misunderstanding, procedural concern or relevant information that was not considered. Disagreement with a reviewer's opinion alone does not establish grounds for reversing a decision.
The editor will assess the appeal and may obtain independent advice or additional review. An editor whose conduct is the subject of an appeal must not be its sole assessor. A successful appeal reopens consideration; it does not guarantee acceptance.
Complaints about conduct or service
Complaints may concern editorial conduct, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, publishing practices or handling delays. Provide a clear account, relevant dates and supporting correspondence. Complaints involving the Chief Editor should be addressed to the Managing Editor through the journal office for independent handling; unresolved publisher-related concerns may be addressed to HERN at info@hern.pk.
Concerns will be considered fairly and without retaliation. A reasoned outcome should be communicated to the complainant, subject to confidentiality and legal obligations. This policy does not remove any right available under applicable law.
