Preprints and Self-Archiving

Prior dissemination

Authors must disclose any preprint, thesis, conference abstract or other public version of the submitted work, provide a link or copy, and explain how the manuscript differs. A preprint is not peer-reviewed journal publication. Its existence may also limit the effectiveness of anonymization during review.

Disclosed prior dissemination will be assessed by the editor in relation to originality, overlapping publication and applicable third-party rights. Authors should seek editorial clarification if they are uncertain whether a previously shared version affects eligibility. Do not submit a manuscript concurrently to another journal.

Sharing published work

Authors retain copyright. Sharing of the published version must respect the license stated on the article. Under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, the unchanged published article may be shared non-commercially with attribution and a link to the license. Include the full journal citation and a link to the journal version where possible.

For deposited preprints or accepted manuscripts, identify the version clearly, respect third-party agreements and update the repository record with the published citation when available. Direct questions about versions or permissions to info@johe.pk.
